Family Activities on the Tweed Coast
The Banora Point Public School P&C Association proudly presents to the community our annual family fun filled Banora Point Public School Twilight Carnivale.
This is a dynamic event not to be missed! Carnivale ride passes getting you unlimted rides for all ages with budget friendly prices. Over $5,000 worth of prizes up for grabs in our raffle rumble. Side show alley stalls presenting a cluster of amusement. Toe tapping live free entertainment and why not grab yourself a delicious bite to eat from one of the many food truck selections. Plus much more!
Doors open to this public event on Friday 1st of November 2019 from 3.30pm at Banora Point Primary School located 97 Pioneer Parade, Banora Point.

With over 630 students attending Banora Point Public School we have become one of the largest Primary Schools in Tweed Heads area. Our school is a long standing, reputable part of the local community and has been providing education since 1893.

Frequently Asked Questions from Parents of Banora Primary Students
How will the day run?
Current Banora Point Primary School students will have EXCLUSIVE access between 11.30am and 2.30pm. This part of the day will run very similar to previous years. At 2.30pm the students will return to their classrooms where rolls will be marked. At 3.00pm students can either depart on buses or be picked up by parents as usual. At 3.30pm the main event will begin. Parents will need to provide supervision for all children during this time. The evening will conclude at 8.00pm.
How will the ride passes work?
Current Banora Primary School students have access to UNLIMITED rides from 12.00pm to 8.00pm (excluding the breaktime between 2.30pm and 3.30pm). Students can ride as many times as they like! Heights will be checked by ride operators to ensure strict safety guidelines are met. Please ensure you purchase the correct pass for your child. No refunds will be given.
Can siblings &/or relatives attend?
Siblings or other relatives who do not attend the school are welcome to attend the community event from 3.30pm to 8.00pm.
Can adults go on the rides?
During the school time session, no. The rides are exclusively for Banora Point Primary School students (unless you are accompanying a small child on the dodgems or super slide).
When the Carnivale opens to the public at 3.30pm adults are welcome to unlimited rides with the purchase of their own ride pass.
What should students wear?
Students may dress in mufti (no singlet tops, no thongs). Please ensure your child has a hat and sunscreen.
Will my Kindergarten child be supervised?
Yes, kindergarten students will be buddied together and all Kinder staff as well as other teaching staff will be on hand during the day session to supervise. Kindergarten students will be allocated a tent to use as a home base.
What is happening with parking?
The afternoon pick-up zone will not be operating on the day. All parking will be on the street as per council signage. No parking will be available in the drop-off zone for the day.
How can I drop off my child for school?
The drop off zone will operate as per usual in the morning. Buses will also still operate as usual.
How do I pick up my child at 3pm?
At 2.30pm the children will be asked to return to their classrooms. Rolls will be marked by classroom teachers. You can collect your child from their classroom at the 3pm bell.
The pick off zone will NOT be operating on this day.
What about buses?
Buses will operate in the morning and afternoon as usual.
Can parents attend the school portion of the day?
Yes! Parents are welcome to watch their children during the day. Younger siblings are welcome to attend but will not be able to access the rides until 3.30pm.
What are we fundraising for?
We are fundraising for some exciting upgrades and additions to playground facilities for students of all ages.
